How to Setup Java & Bedrock Crossplay For Your Minecraft Server Print

  • 1

If you want to allow Bedrock Edition players to join your Java Edition Minecraft server, you'll need to set up crossplay using the plugins GeyserMC and Floodgate. This guide walks you through the setup process from start to finish.

Setup Process

  1. First, visit the Geyser Download Page
  2. Download the correct version for the Spigot/Paper option
  3. Upload the jar file to the /plugins folder in your server's file manager
  4. Restart your server to add the plugin
  5. Now, you'll need to configure a few settings. Go to plugins/Geyser-Spigot/config.yml, and set clone-remote-port to true. Next, you'll need to set enforce-secure-profile to false in your server.properties file.
  6. After this, download the correct version of Floodgate for Spigot/Paper from this link. This will allow Bedrock players to authenticate to your server without the need for a Java account.
  7. Now, the final step is to restart your server, and the changes should take effect!

Players will now be able to join your server on Bedrock using the same IP and port.

Have fun playing!
